The film became Marshall and Hathaway’s third collaboration, starring the actress as Liz Curran, a receptionist who works night shifts at a hotline.

Hathaway and Rebel Wilson headlining Dirty rotten villains remake as Josephine Chesterfield and Penny Rust, two completely different con artists who intertwine and from there team up to scam as many millionaires as possible. For the film, Wilson was also a producer and she decided to appeal the R rating given to the project, successfully getting it changed to PG-13 before its release. Despite the actresses’ strong on-screen chemistry and comedic, engaging plot, The bustle was poorly received by critics, many of whom felt that the remake brought nothing new to the table other than being led by women.

Emma (Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) have dreamed of their wedding day since they were little girls, and over the years they have planned every detail of their wedding together. Now adults, they are simultaneously proposed by their boyfriends and set out to plan their big day together, booking the venue of their dreams: the Plaza Hotel. The Diary of a Princess was Hathaway’s first film, and it remains one of her most memorable roles to this day. In this film, Hathaway plays Mia Thermopolis, a shy and insecure teenager from San Francisco who finds herself heir to the throne of a European kingdom known as Genovia. Therefore, aided by her grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi, Mia must work hard to succeed as a princess and live up to the expectations of the people. In 2015, Hathaway and Robert De Niro headlined Trainee under the production and direction of Nancy Meyers. In the film, De Niro plays Ben Whittaker, a retired widower who decides to return to work and applies to intern at a fashion company run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway). Ocean 8Gary Ross’ 2018 film served as both a sequel and a Steven Soderbergh spin-off oceans trilogy, starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter. In the film, audiences are introduced to Debbie Ocean (Bullock), sister of master thief Danny Ocean (George Clooney). Debbie is released from prison and has the perfect plan to pull off the heist of the century. She plans to sneak into the Met Gala and steal a precious necklace worn by actress Daphne Kluger (Hathaway). In order to achieve her goal, Debbie must assemble a team of star aggressors, which includes Kluger herself.

1 The devil wears Prada

This 2006 film directed by Davil Frankel occupies the first place in this ranking. In The devil wears Prada, Hathaway is Andy Sachs, an aspiring journalist who considers the fashion industry ridiculous, but she lands a job that hundreds of girls dream of: she’s hired as the personal assistant of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the cold but yet popular editor of Runway magazine. However, the job turns out to be much more difficult than Andy expected, and she quickly begins to wonder if she is truly up to the task. Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Simon Baker and Adrian Grenier round out the cast of this blockbuster film which garnered an impressive number of nominations and awards.
