SAN ANGELO – Looking for a free activity for your child this summer? A roofing company in San Angelo offers free movie tickets at Cinemark Tinseltown for children aged 6 to 8.
Roofing Candela will sponsor films every Wednesday through the end of July at Cinemark, 4425 Sherwood Way, with goody bags included. Film screenings will take place around 9:30 am-11:00am on Wednesdays, although times may vary.
Laura Candela, director of the company, said this event started because of her daughters.
“Last year with COVID my daughters lost touch with a lot of their friends,” she said. “This summer I decided to do it, so I sent a flyer to my girl classes offering to pay for a movie.”
Candela said she wanted to give back to the people of San Angelo as well.
“We’ve been in business for 20 years and the community has always helped us a lot, so we wanted to give back to them,” she said.
Candela said kids don’t have to be 6-8 years old; they may be younger if accompanied by an adult. The older ones can also attend.
Tickets are on a first come, first served basis. People can reserve their child’s place by calling 325-227-6825 or emailing [email protected] with the subject “Summer Fun”.
