Country music star Trace Adkins to perform at USFL playoffs in Canton

Sitting next to a gleaming USFL championship trophy, country music star Trace Adkins paused his current tour on Tuesday to announce a June 25 performance in Canton in the USFL’s first playoff games. .

Adkins said he was excited to return to Canton to entertain fans between semifinal playoff games at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which sits adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

His performance comes with a match ticket at no additional cost. Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls hosts and helps coordinate the USFL playoffs.

The multi-platinum entertainer will perform after the first of two playoff games conclude on June 25, which kicks off at 3 p.m. A second contest will begin at 8 p.m. Both matches will be televised – the first airing on Fox and the second on NBC. .

“My family, we are thrilled to have the chance to go to Guangzhou and be a part of it,” he said. “I’ve been to the museum and I’ve been to the field, and it’s a great opportunity to get back there. I just can’t wait to be there.”

A $15 ticket covers both divisional playoff games, plus the Adkins concert. Tickets can be purchased at www.hofvillage.com/p/events/united-states-football-league.

A USFL championship game between the division winners will take place on July 3.

The New Jersey Generals will face the Philadelphia Stars in the North Division for a shot at the USFL Championship. Down south, the undefeated Birmingham Stallions are waiting to hear if they will face the New Orleans Breakers or the Tampa Bay Bandits.

Trace Adkins performed at the Maury County MuleFest in Columbia, Tennessee last year.  Adkins will perform between USFL playoff games on June 25 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

Since debuting in 1996, Adkins has sold over 11 million albums and scored over 37 singles, including 14 Billboard top 10 hits. Adkins has also received several Grammy nominations in addition to various awards in the country music industry.

The musician has also collaborated with Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge.
