Flashback music festival of the 90s and 00s is planned in Manchester


A huge new open-air festival celebrating the best dance music from the 90s and 00s is planned in Manchester for this summer.

The Flashback Festival will be held at a downtown venue with the promise of some of the biggest names in dance music from around the world celebrating “old school anthems”.

The event will see more than 60 performers on four stages and a full festival village set up in the city on Saturday May 21, 2022.

Organizers say revelers can expect musical genres ranging from euphoric trance to club classics, retro house to garage and everything in between with a “range of headliners and pioneers who will showcase a range collection of dance music royalties from the last 30 years”.

Flashback Festival will be a new outdoor festival for Manchester

The location is being kept “top secret” at the moment but it is said to be centrally located in the city.

The festival site will include five stages, a gastronomic village, fairground rides and the possibility of access to a VIP bar.

The main stage will feature special effects, a laser show and outdoor fireworks.

There will also be a huge marquee arena “with a legendary British brand that fills clubs and dance floors every week”.

As for the headliners, we’re promised stars from the 90s and 00s as well as “Manchester throwback” artists to get guests well and truly in the party mood.
