Salem Holiday Parade, Main Street, Salem, 1 p.m. Nov. 27. Sponsored by the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Visit with Santa Claus at the belvedere after the parade;

Cohoes Town Tree Lighting, Silliman Park, Cohoes, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on November 27. Music, food, visit from Santa Claus and more.

Festival of Lights, Shepherd Park, Lake George, Nov. 27-Dec. 31. Illuminated display and decorated windows;

Saratoga Tree Festival, Downtown Saratoga Springs, December 1-5. Downtown Saratoga Springs will be turned into a winter fantasy to support Catholic charities in Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties;

Victorian Street Weekend, Broadway, Saratoga Springs, December 2-5. This year’s event kicks off with a lighted tree at 6 p.m. Thursday. The celebration continues with shows, tours with Santa Claus, a treasure hunt and more;

65th Annual Holiday Greens Show, Hart Cluett Museum, Troy, December 2-5. Twelve rooms inside the marble house will be decorated for the holidays with a “Children’s Holiday Story Books” theme;

Adirondack Christkindlmarkt, Glens Falls Municipal Park, December 3-5. A family-oriented European-style Christmas festival with an Adirondack twist;

Ballston Spa Holiday Parade and tree lighting, village of Ballston Spa, 6:30 p.m. on December 3. Parade start time is 6:30 p.m., continues on Milton Avenue and ends at Wiswall Park on Front Street with Santa Claus lighting up the Christmas tree;

33rd Annual Christmas in Warrensburg, December 3-4. The event kicks off with a holiday parade at 6 p.m. on Friday followed by a Dickensian celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday;

Schenectady Tree Festival, Historical Society of the County of Schenectady, from December 4 to 23. The event is a fundraiser and partnership between the Schenectady County Historical Society and the YWCA NorthEastern NY;

Jingle Bell Race 2021, Halfmoon Town Park, 9:00 am December 4th. Holiday Road Run Supports The Arthritis Foundation;

Winter Hangarland for the benefit of Toys for Tots and the Prescott Foundation, Le Hangar, Latham, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 4. There will be activities and face painting for kids, photo ops with Santa Claus, food trucks, a petting zoo and more;

New York State Holiday Tree Lighting, Empire State Plaza, Albany. December 5 (time to be confirmed).

Great train extravaganza, Empire State Plaza Convention Center, Albany, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm December 5.

Troy Victorian Balade 2021, various locations in Troy, December 5-31. The extended Victorian celebration includes decorated display cases, special dishes, music and more.
