The full 2022 NFL schedule drops at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, but the league released a huge Week 4 game on Thursday morning that will bring plenty of hype.
A Super Bowl LV rematch between the Chiefs and Buccaneers will take place on Sunday, October 2 on Sunday night football. The game will take place in Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium, where the Super Bowl was played in 2021.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs lost in the 2021 Super Bowl to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. The two teams have not played each other since.
This rematch gives the Chiefs a chance to redeem themselves against football’s “GOAT” in what will most likely be Brady’s final season. The quarterback previously retired for a few weeks before not retiring in March. He did not say when he planned to retire. However, this week Brady reportedly signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports to act as a lead analyst once he retires.

This is the second prime-time game for the Chiefs that has come out before any NFL schedule. During the NFL Draft, it was announced that the Chiefs would face fellow AFC West side Chargers in the season opener on Thursday night football September 15. It will also be the first Amazon Prime TNF broadcast game.
Stay tuned to hear the full 2022 NFL schedule Thursday night.
