The final installment of the Noir In Festival is set to take place in Milan, in person, from December 10 to 15, following last year’s online edition. “This 31st edition is entirely focused on the future, but with respect for tradition, and revolves around an intoxicating mixture which has always made the particularity of this unique festival on the international film scene”, underlines Giorgio Gosetti, artistic director of the event alongside Marina fabbri and Gianni Canova (from the University of Milan).

Bringing together fiction and film noir, the festival will award the Raymond Chandler Prize to an internationally renowned author in the style of Guillaume Musso and will underline the great renewal of the “polar” genre in France, carried by impressive guests such as Hervé Le Corre and Franck Thilliez. The recognized champions of the Italian giallo and black forms will not be lacking either, from Dean Loriano Macchiavelli to Carlo Lucarelli, not to mention Donato Carrisi, Maurizio De Giovanni and Simona Vinci.

More than ever, film noir and black fiction form a single body on the program this year. This is the case for Massimo Donati who makes his debut as a director, in competition, with Diario di spezie, which is based on his novel (read our news), and for Donato Carrisi (In the labyrinth [+see also:
